Hot Octopuss

Today, we’re going to talk about Hot Octopuss, which (if you don’t already know) makes an incredible line of innovative sex toys for humans of all genders, ages and abilities.

While the foundation of our relationship with Hot Octopuss was built on social media management, it eventually blossomed into a well-rounded project, encompassing content creation, branding, and production; all in all, a wide-ranging venture that we are very proud of.

📲 Social Media Management 📲


We were initially contacted by Hot Octopuss to help with their social media accounts; particularly their Instagram. As many of you know, and likely have experienced first-hand, the powers that be in the world of social media do not look kindly upon those in the sex industry. As a result, we knew right away that it was important to get creative with our Hot Octopuss content, while maintaining a brand voice that was sexy, open, informative, and fun.

Using their website as a road map, we rejuvenated the look of their feed through our trademark lens of curated cohesion. We also ran giveaways that engaged new users, and partnered with sex-positive influencers to promote their products. 

Within the first month, they saw a 30% increase in followership. Due to this surge in visibility, their engagement went, in owner Julia Margo’s words, “through the roof,” and their affiliate network doubled. 💪

🎙 Podcast Production 🎙


Through Hot Octopuss, and their accompanying podcast, Pleasure Rebels, we were given the opportunity to really get our bearings in the world of podcast production and develop a set of processes that we still use to this day. 

It was an absolute joy to steer the podcast through each and every stage of production - from integrating with Apple Podcasts and Libsyn Podcast Hosting, to the creation of episode descriptions, all the way to mixing and mastering. 🎧

Of course, all of this was done in harmony with a robust social media presence. So, each episode was accompanied by marketing assets as well as creative content that teased at or, in some cases, built upon the information contained in the episodes themselves. ✔️

In addition to the creative work that we did to engage Hot Octopuss’ community on Instagram, as well as the work we did to bolster their Pleasure Rebels Podcast, we also penned thirteen unique articles for their blog. 

Ranging in topics from How to Buy A Sex Toy For Your Partner to Porn You Can Feel Good About, we set out to not only craft articles that would encourage potential customers down the funnel, but also genuinely help people with information they could actually use; while keeping SEO firmly in mind. 🧠
